Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first to set foot on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 mission over fifty years ago. On that same mission, Buzz Aldrin planted the American Flag on the face of the moon, and he is one of the most famous astronauts in history. He has written nine books, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, and is an ardent supporter of space exploration and discovery.
Buzz Aldrin is an American former fighter pilot, engineer, and astronaut. He and mission commander Neil Armstrong were the first to land on the Moon during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission. Aldrin's fascination with space continued upon his return to earth. In 2007, Aldrin tasked Warbasse with building his website to include art direction, design, and development, detailing Aldrin's biography, accomplishments, and his work in Space Tourism with the ShareSpace foundation.
Buzz Aldrin
Before Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and even Richard Branson, there was Buzz Aldrin. By 2007, Aldrin was working on plans to make Space Tourism accessible to the general public. It was then that Warbasse was selected to create the digital strategy by designing a world-class website that would house Aldrin's military service, space career and future endeavors for civilian space travel.
Warbasse designed a promotional one-sheet in full-scale (24"x36") to celebrate the website's launch. The poster was made available to news media outlets before the go-live date to generate press and publicity.
